Humidity

Frontpage

The standard value we use with regard to moisture in the room and walls against which kitchen furniture is mounted is as follows:

The relative humidity of the room should ideally be between 45% and 65% at a room temperature between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. The moisture content in the wall should be a maximum of 4%. Below this value, there is no risk of consequential damage of any kind. If the value is higher, consequential damage may possibly occur, so also for anything standing/hanging against the wall.
  • With a relative humidity in the kitchen area between 65% and 75%, the kitchen can be assembled, but there should be sufficient ventilation to prevent mould etc. Do not fit the skirting boards and preferably the top until the relative humidity is at or below 65% in the walls.
  • Above 75% relative humidity it is not responsible to start assembly and the kitchen manufacturer is not responsible for consequential damage of any kind.
  • The kitchen area must be wind and water tight.
